Dishub Reviews Odd-Even System For Asian Games

Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) continues to find a way to ensure Asian Games athletes can reach venue from Wisma Atlet in 30 minutes.

We will discuss and evaluate odd-even implementation on the roads that will be crossed by athletes

Jakarta Dishub Head, Andri Yansyah said, his side has prepared several plans to the reach the targeted time. One of those plans is to evaluate odd-even system implementation for Asian Games.

No Ticket Sanctions During Odd-Even Trial

"We will discuss and evaluate odd-even implementation on the roads that will be crossed by athletes," he informed, Tuesday (4/24).

He explained, his side also tests open-close road system in test event which has been conducted in February. Even though his side considered its condition will be different with Asian Games in August 2018.

"Test event is only done for several countries. While in Asian Games, all participant countries will be involved. Thus we will continue to find the most suitable way," he added.

He explained, odd-even system on several roads will be reviewed for Asian Games while his side and traffic forum continue to discuss the plan.

"We are involving police and related sides in this discussion. We hope it can be decided soon thus we can go to the next steps," he conveyed.
